Migrate from HyVote

Step-by-Step

Complete guide to switching from HyVote to VotePipe

Before You Start

Important: Export or note your current HyVote reward configuration. You'll recreate these rewards in VotePipe's dashboard.

Step 1: Create VotePipe Account

  1. Go to app.votepipe.com and sign up
  2. Create a new organization for your server
  3. Add the vote providers you use
  4. Note your webhook URLs from the Providers page

Step 2: Update Vote Sites

Update your webhook URLs on each vote site:

  1. Log into each vote site admin panel
  2. Navigate to server settings or webhook configuration
  3. Replace the HyVote webhook URL with your VotePipe URL
  4. Save the changes

Step 3: Install VotePipe Plugin

  1. Stop your Hytale server
  2. Remove HyVote.jar from your mods folder
  3. Download VotePipe plugin from CurseForge or Modtale
  4. Place the JAR in your server's mods/ folder
  5. Start and stop the server to generate config

Step 4: Configure Plugin

Edit mods/Mythlane_VotePipe/config.json:

Generate your plugin token from Settings → Plugin.

Step 5: Migrate Rewards

Map your HyVote rewards to VotePipe:

Configure rewards at Dashboard → Rewards.

Step 6: Verify Migration

  1. Start your Hytale server
  2. Run /votepipe status
  3. Verify the connection shows as connected
  4. Cast a test vote and confirm it appears in dashboard
  5. Verify rewards are delivered correctly

Migration Checklist

  • VotePipe account and organization created
  • Vote site webhooks updated
  • HyVote plugin removed
  • VotePipe plugin installed and configured
  • Rewards migrated to dashboard
  • Test vote confirmed working
